May 29 - No School - Memorial Day

May 30 - Whole-School Trip to Enchanted Castle

A BIG Thank You!

I would like to express my sincere appreciation to all of you who helped this month with our Race for Education. I couldn't have done it without you! Thank you for your help and support!

April Happenings

Spring is finally here! We are very excited to spend time outside. Over the next few weeks we will be learning about growing things and planting a flower garden. We will be looking at seeds and learning how they grow into plants. We are also learning test taking skills to help get prepared for Stanford Achievement Tests. We will be testing in May and all the details will be coming home soon.

Happy to Be Back

I had a wonderful time in Arizona, but I am thankful to be back at school once again. We have some exciting events coming up in the next couple of weeks. This Friday is the Talent Show at 1:30pm in the Gym. Students from PreK through 8th grade will be showcasing their many abilities and talents. Next Tuesday we will be having a Pep Rally for Race for Education. It will also be held at 1:30 in the Gym. We hope to see you at one or both events.

Out of School

I will be out of school from Wednesday, March 22 - Monday, March 27. I am standing up in a family wedding in Arizona. Miss Rushing will be here as well as a substitute teacher. Please assist them by reminding your students that obedience and respect are expected for all teachers.

Service Project for Ethiopian School

Next Wednesday we will be dedicating our primary chapel service to learning more about children in a school in Ethiopia. In response each student will make a card for a specific student in the Ethiopian school. We will also send a class picture to each student and a financial donation to the school. To raise funds we are having an all-school jeans day next Wednesday. In order to wear jeans on this day, we are asking each student to bring $1 as a donation for the school. Thank you in advance for your support in this project.
